The Dayton Train Show Committee regrets to announce that due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the 2020 Dayton Train Show℠ originally scheduled for November 7 & 8, 2020 has been cancelled. There were multiple issues:  the age of many of the show participants and attendees; the ever changing federal, state, and local regulations concerning shows and exhibitions; and insurance availability.   We spent months making plans to address these issues,  but various factors accumulated to the point where we determined that it was no longer feasible to stage the show with any degree of certainty and do so safely for all concerned.

We are now putting our efforts into planning the 2021 Dayton Train Show℠.  If you are a vendor, exhibitor, or are on the waiting list, you will soon be receiving a letter.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via email at (Sorry, due to high call volume currently, please do not try to contact us by phone).  We are looking forward to November 6 & 7, 2021 for the next Dayton Train Show℠.

You will be able to find those small hobby tools you need, scenery making supplies, books on your favorite railroad. If you need it for your model railroad, it should be there.

The show floor is brightly lit and laid out to make it possible to browse and shop without crowding. Access to vendors is easy, even at the busiest times of the day. Our vendors come from all over the eastern and midwest US to make a wide variety of merchandise available, including model and toy trains, railroad memorabilia, parts and tools, custom modeling services (painting, decals, structures, etc.), and custom layout design.

Layouts, Clinics & Demonstrations

As always the venue will feature a large number of operating layouts in a wide variety of scales, from the tiny "N" scale to the glorious large-scale ("G" scale) garden layouts, and even bigger. A number of groups from around the country combine to build a huge N-Trak modular layout. There will be demonstrations by some of the best modelers in the nation including hands-on experience by local modelers, who will be available for questions and advice. There is something for everyone. Layout photographs from our show appear on many model railroad websites.
